  2. The larger models have been rendered using a Google Sketchup plug-in known as SU Podium (as I use Sketchup to make my models and scenes). I have used V-Ray to render just two of my simple models - A Jade table and a set of vases! I find Podium way too easy to use. :)

  4. Surya, how do you get the rooms so beautifully and evenly lit?
I've been playing with SU Podium for the past few days, and having a great trouble providing enough light... even if i turn up the light sources to 100, they do not reach far and don't light things evenly. Do you use a custom xml settings file?

  5. @Andrey,
I usually use a number of omni-lights and place them around (preferably at positions where a light would be in the real world…eg. Ceiling point lights etc). The even lighting is usually achieved by trial and error…sometimes you need to focus an object and then I use one or more omni-lights around the object and vary the intensities to get the desired effect. I usually get the right picture after about 3 tries on an average. I use the default.xml settings…anything else is way too slow! The effects may be better at times but I haven’t the patience. ;)

Thanks a lot for the appreciation. 

I have used V-Ray once to render a vase and that’s that. I use SU Podium ( A Sketchup plug-in).
